Keyu Jin's Capitalist China

Keyu Jin, Harvard-trained professor at the London School of Economics, did it again to defend her beloved PRC. He said in a Lex Fridman interview, "I've rarely seen a more capitalist society than China".

Jin, together with Sachs and Mearsheimer, is among the most deceiving scholars who have poisoned millions of innocent minds.

If I were retired with a lot of time, I might dedicate myself to fighting the poison spewed out of their mouths.

They are different from grifters who prey on cults with words they want to hear. You can do little with cults.

These scholars capitalize on their prominent positions in ivory towers to convince people, who are often highly educated with intense intellectual curiosity, of their narratives with partial facts. It is effective because they appear knowledgeable, credible, and rigorous.

I had had enough after watching the video for a few minutes. If I watched the entire video, I might have to write dozens of tweets to relieve my frustration by refuting her points one by one.

Jin's highly capitalist PRC has 40% of its economy owned by the state. All of the Big Four banks are SOEs. Backed by the state, SOEs have tremendous advantages over private businesses as expected. She must fundamentally redefine capitalism to make her statement valid.

"If China were relatively successful economically, a huge part of the reason is by and large, it’s been meritocratic" - Jin.

How can a middle school dropout who often has trouble reading scripts be at the top of the country if it is so meritocratic? Among the MSD's lieutenants (i.e., his yes-men), who rose to the top echelon with competence?  The current premier, Li, created one of the biggest man-made disasters in China: the brutal zero-COVID policy in Shanghai.

In both private entities and government agencies, rapid promotions are more closely correlated with one's parents' background than with their education and competence.

The middle school dropout's ascendency is due to his red blood. Princelings effectively own China.
